About Bonsai Mushrooms

Hi Mom! Hi Dad!

My name is Lowell. I started Bonsai Mushrooms out of my closet with the help of my dog, Butter.

We were just days away from being homeless when we launched a Kickstarter campaign for Mushroom Pods that raised $100,000 in pledges. Now we operate out of small warehouse space in Atlanta, Georgia.

One of the most exciting aspects of growing mushrooms for me is that the industry has not been saturated and enshittified to extract maximum profits. That means someone like me or you or someone you know still has opportunity to innovate. There's a bunch of really cool stuff left to discover. My hope is that mushroom pods are able to spark that passion and help create a new generation of cultivators.
